Organization:
- See diagram for equipment and set-up
- 10 to 12 Players
- Pinnies for one team
- Area: 25x30 (adapt for age/ability/numbers)
- 1 defender and 1 attacker in each end (last 5 yards)
- 4 midfielders on each team in middle 20 yards
Instructions:
- SSG with zones
- Goal can be scored from anywhere. Midfielders can attempt on goal from outside end zone.
- Goal can be scored by strikers within end zone.
Progression:
- Midfielders can dribble into end zone to create an overload but striker and midfielder can then only score on one touch. Goal doesn't count if they shoot with 2 touch. Midfielder goes back to middle zone after play is dead or if defender clears the ball out of end zone.
Coaching Points:
- Opening up to receive the ball and touch in the direction of goal
- Finishing with inside of foot for placement
- Decision making to shoot or pass to striker or another midfielder who has an open shot on goal
- Dribbling skills and taking on opposition 1v1 to gain advantage

Organization:
- Grid 15x15 yards (adapt for age/ability/numbers)
- 4 pug nets and 6 red cones and 2 blue
- Balls and pinnies for one team
- Set a blue cone 5 yards from corner red cone to create a waiting zone
- 6 players per team to start from corner waiting zone
Instructions:
- Players are given numbers on both teams
- Players begin from corner waiting areas behind blue cone
- Coach calls out a number/s and player/s run out from each end to win the ball
- Player that wins the ball can score in any of the 4 goals
- If defender wins the ball, goal can be scored in any of the 4 goals.
- Coach can call multiple numbers to create 2v2 or 3v3
- Ball is dead if it goes out of play and they start again
Progression:
- Time limit of 10 seconds per play.
Emphasis:
- Accelerate with ball into open spaces
- Decision making to find open goal
- Head up when dribbling and scan for supporting players
- Accurate & quick finishing
- Using all parts of foot to manipulate ball to evade defender

- Lots of balls in goals and on side lines
- Organize teams in 7 v 7 playing full quarter field with 1/3 retreat cone markers
Instruction:
- Regular game with 2-3-1 formation
Focus:
- Positioning and formation
- Ask players questions on what options were available when they don't succeed

- 2 players facing one another
- One ball per player
Instructions:
- Players dribble to centre cone and then execute a skill to change direction
- Skills include
1. side step
2. step over
3. outside turn
4. scissors
5. V-pull
6. outside flick
- Work on left foot as well
Coaching Points:
- Touch step dribble with ball close
- Bend back, bend knees when executing move and skill, lower centre of gravity
- Use body movement to confuse opponent, shoulder drop
