Start with a General crossing exercise
Equipment
Right sized goal for the age/ability of the keeper. Four cones on the edge of each side of the box as shown, each with 1 ball. GK starts in the goal. One defender, two attackers
SessionGK starts in centre of goal. Server 1 starts outside of the box with the balls. Passes to server 2, who then dribbles ball to cone 'a' where he then crosses for Server 1 to try to score with a header.
GK must decide to come or stay. Communications with defenders in this session is vital.

Start with a General crossing exercise
Equipment
Right sized goal for the age/ability of the keeper. Four cones on the edge of each side of the box as shown, each with 1 ball. GK starts in the goal
SessionGK starts in centre. Server 1 starts with ball at cone A in hand and throws ball to land in shaded area. GK to take high catch and return to S1. GK keeper turns to receive a throw from S2 at cone A. Servers move to cones B and repeat until completed 4 throws each. Rotate keepers. Once complete, swap keepers and servers
ProgressionOnce caught catch from S1, throws to S2 who moves to any cone so GK must make eye contact before through the ball.
Cross from ball off ground
Have second keeper stand in shaded area (not challenge) to provide distraction
