1 goalkeeper

4 defenders

1 central midfielder

2 wingers

1 cf

Taking out 2 central midfielders

Blue team full formation: 1-4-3-3

3 defenders

2 central midfielders

2 wingers

1 cf

taking out a goalkeeper, a centre back and a central midfielder

Red Team are looking to pass it out of the back to either of the full backs or centre backs. The full back can use the width of the pitch to create more space, as well as the centre backs splitting to create more space in the center of the pitch.

Blue team will be pressing high up the field, forcing the defenders to use quick passing to get the ball shifted across the pitch at a quick pace. the central defensive midfielder will drop in to collect the ball off the defense and the wingers will offer width for the central midfielder, then the centre forward will be an outlet option.

A condition for the red team is 2 points for a goal in the centre goal, and 1 points for a ball to the wide goals. If the blue team win the ball they have 6 seconds to score, if they do so, they will receive 1 points.

This session will be a fuction into a small sided game.

Passes to the full back

The goalkeeper passes the ball to a full back. If the winger on the blue team presses the full back with the ball, they pass the ball inside to the centre back, or down the line to the winger.

The back four will shift the ball from full back to centre back to try and create space for the central midfielder, so that he can get on the ball and find one of thwe wingers or the centre forward to score a goal.

The wingers can come inside to enable an extra option if the central midfielder can't get free. This will make the players that are marking the central midfielder go towards the two extra options.

With movement from the midfielders, they should be able to lose there men and give an outlet to either the fullbacks, centre backs or the goalkeeper.

Passing to the central midfielder

When the central midfielder gets free, this triggers the full back or centre back, to get the ball into the central midfielder.

This then triggers the wingers and centre forward to try and lose there men and get in behind. Creating options for the central midfilder to look forward and play a ball that will penetrate the defensive line and create an oppurtunity to score a goal.

Getting forward

When the players have made there run, and if they're free, the central midfielder can look to open up his body, then either switch it out to either winger, to put them in to score a goal in either of the wide goals or if the centre back doesn't follow the run of the centre forward, the central midfielder can look to play a driven pass into the centre forward, to score in the centre goal.
