Warm-up (15 mins)

Warm-up


Organization:

  • 2 stations with 2 rings, 2 poles, and a small goal.
  • 2 players per station if only 3 players put them all in 1 station and do it more dynamically.
Instructions:
  • The player starts the drill by making a pass to the partner in the middle. Then this player will do inside-out taps in the rings. The player in the middle will give the ball back and this player needs to dribble fast between poles. Once it finishes this player must score a goal.

Coach Points:

  • Keep players active and motivated by giving them positive feedback.

Exercise 1 (15 mins)

Organization:

  • Orange cones
Instructions:

  • Players will be doing a lot of coordination movements

    1) zig-zag facing forward

    2)zig-zag facing backward

    3)zig-zag sideway ( switch sides)

    4)one knee up

    5)two in, two out.

    6) jumping with 1 foot, then switching the next round with the other one.

    7)jumping with both feet together.

    Then, at the station's end, the coach will make a pass and the player must stop the ball and score a goal.

    If the ball does not go inside of the goal the player must retrieve the ball to the coach.

    VARIATION: Add the ball the entire exercise.

Exercise 2 (10 mins)

Organization:

  • Cones as a triangular shape.
  • Balls in the middle of the field
Instructions:
  • Players will start by doing a triangular movement pattern shown by the coach, when finished they will run and receive the coach's pass and then they will try to score a goal.

    Player must run and make explosive movements.

Exercise 3 (15 mins)

Organization:

  • Poles in the middle, put cones to differentiate the color of each pole.
  • Tall cones on each corner ( 4 total of each color)
Instructions:
  • Players will all start from the middle. Each player will be designated a specific color. When the coach blows her whistle they must run to the corners to get their respective color of cone and bring it back to the middle and put it on top of one of the poles.
  • VARIANT: add a ball that the players should dribble with them.

Coach Points:

  • Let the kids have some fun and learn how to focus more.

Exercise 4

Organization:

  • Big goal
  • 4 poles ( GATES)
  • 3 orange cones
  • Individual work w/1 ball per player

Instructions:

  • The players will dribble the ball toward the big goal. Once they reach the orange cones they must pick one of the "gates" ( left or right foot) to shoot through it. 

Coach Points:

  • Teach the girls how to shoot in motion without stopping the ball.
  • Encourage them to try new techniques and get out of their comfort zone of always thinking before trying to score.

Game (25 mins)

GAME TIME

  • Divide the group into teams and play a reduced game with a small field so they are more opportunities for short passes.
  • Let the players have fun.
  • do not stop the game too much to make corrections

Instructions:
  • Players must follow instructions and focus on breathing while stretching.
  • It's important for all the players to stretch properly.

  • Ask players how they are feeling
  • Give individual feedback about each player's performance.
