Attacking with Wide Play
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
50x40 Yard Grid, but play from sideline to sideline width.
-One team is attacking the big goal and the other is attacking the two small goals at the half line.
-The team attacking the big goal has to play into one of the outside channels before they can score (resets on loss of possession).
-The team defending the big goal just has to score in one of the little goals.
-Teams can switch sides based on time limit, or when the defending team scores in a small goal.
-Progression: Attacking team has to find BOTH wide channels before scoring.
-Coaching Points-
1. Getting wide as soon as possible (hips opened up).
2. Do not force the attack (just because we got wide, does not mean we have to go at goal if its not on).
3. Get from one side to other quickly. (How)

9v9 with 3 teams
-Two teams inside cones playing 9v9 with third team on the sides as neutrals with two touch restriction.
-Teams inside must find one outside player before they can score, this will progress to them having to find one player on each side before scoring.
-Neutrals have two touches to either play back into the attacking team, or serve in a cross.
-Team that gets scored on is off, or a certain time limit.
-Coaching Points-
1. Finding the outside option quickly.
2. Provide good early support for outside players.
3. Recognize when to get in for a cross.

Technical Warm-Up (15 mins)
25x25 Grid (Red) with smaller 20x20 (Blue) on the inside.
-Player B checks in PAST the blue cone, then back pedals back to receive the ball right in front of the red cone. Pattern continues all the way around.
-Change direction every so often.
-Players should start reading the play to dictate when they check in and out. (ex: Player D should be checking in when player B receives the ball, and should be begnning his back pedal out as the ball is passed from B to C.)
-Start with two-touch, advnace to one-touch when possible.
-Coaching Points-
1. When taking two touches, receiving the ball with upfield foot, and hips opened up.
2. Receiving the ball AS WIDE AS POSSIBLE.
3. Reading the play, WHEN and HOW to check in and out.
