11v7 Game-Phase of Play

Focus: Defending team Yellow Team 

PRIMARY players: LB/RB  LW, RW, CDM

Time: 20 min

Coaching Points:

- Game is played as normal

- Once GK handles the ball. Primary Players look to get HIGH and WIDE in positions to allow for GK distribution and the counter-attack phase to begin.

- GK look to play the ball to the most advanced player to initiate the Counter-attack. First look : Wingers, Second look: LB or RB

- CDM looks to link with the attack to aid in changing the point of attack and linking with Secondary players.

Secondary Players: CM, AM, CF

Game is played as normal. If a shot on net goes out of bounds or a goal is scored the game resets from the Offensive teams net. (Red)

Phase of play - 11 v 7- Counter attack/ GK Distribution

Coaching Points: Once goalie has a handle of the ball Primary players immediately look to get high and wide up the pinch to become available for a counter attack distribution. GK should look to quickly play either the LB or RB or if available the W that is further up the pitch.

* Primary players (LB,RB, W, CDM) look to get on the ball and quickly transition with Secondary roll players (CM,AM CF)

* Secondary players (DM or CM) look to get on the ball from a central position to change the point of attack with (ST, or Wingers)

Key focus: Coaching the GK distribution and the movements of the Primary players to get into their positions of availability.
