Football Problem
We fail to create combinations in the final third which reduces our chances of scoring goals
Session Objective
In this session we will create combinations effectively to create then convert goal scoring opportunities
Organisation
Set up as shown. Second goal keeper feeding balls back
Player starts from station 1 and dibbles past cone and strikes on goal
He then runs back to play a bounce pass arround the cone from station two. The station 2 player strikes on goal
Station on player then moves to receive the ball from station 3 and plays station 3 in behind the lines making an overlapping run
Both players from station one and two then run into the box to receive a cross from station 3 and try and score a goal
all players move to the next station after the cycle has finished
as soon as the cross is played station 1 starts the cycle all over again
Progression
Reduce down to one touch passing to speed the play
Swap sides so players are using both feet for striking
Team Task
Convert as many goal scoring opportunities as possible in the practice time frame
Player Tasks
Keep control of ball when dribbling but must be at game pace
Deceptive ability at station one cone prior to shooting

Passing and striking accuracy
movement between stations
Ability to keep head up when dribbling
Communication when entering the box for back and near post runs
