Setup:
2 teams
1 GK plus big goal
2 defensive lines next to goal posts
Attackers on different cones as shown
Activity:
Defender (with ball) passes ball to inside player, who must play ball wide and overlap the player. From there, attacker can play ball down line for cross or dribble inside. Attacking team is trying to score in big goal.
Defending team can score in wide gates.
Coaching Points:
~ Player on ball must engage defender and not just blindly play overlapper
~ Pass should be parallel to sideline and not played away from the goal into the corner
~ Middle players should move opposite the ball and tread water before making runs in box

Setup:
12 x 12 grids
Activity:
Ball starts in deepest grid.
3v1 in first box into 2v1 through middle trying to play into last box.
Highest player (i.e. #9) checks into box and lays off (NO TURNS ALLOWED) to either of two attacking players (i.e. #8 and #10) and then it's 3v1 to goal.
Progression:
~ Allow another defender to track back (3v2 to goal)
Coaching Points:
~ Timing of #9 checking into box (arrive as ball arrives) and go lay off to midfielder
~ Using dribble to engage defender
~ Various forward runs (overlaps, diagonal, straight)

Setup:
30x20
Activity:
Goalie distributes to 2 attackers versus 1 defender.
If goalie gets ball or defender wins ball, 2 counter-attackers join to go 3v2 the other direction.
Coaching Points:
Player with ball drive at goal. Create space for overlapping attacker.
Defender - close as fast as possible and then match speed going backward
GK - quick distribution for counter attack
