How/When to use feint/scissor.

Purpose:
-Chance for players to practice feint/scissor without pressure.
-Individual dribbling allows coach to walk around and help players who are struggling.
Organization:
-30x30yd square.
-Every player with a ball.
Instructions:
-Dribble freely in the area.
-Messi v Ronaldo touches.
-Feint/Scissor move.
Coaching Points:
1. Head up to avoid running into players/identify space.
2. Correct technique of feint/scissor.
3. Over exaggerate move to "fake out" defender.
Progressions:
-Faster movement.
-Double scissor.

Purpose:
-Work on correct timing of move.
Organization:
-15x15yd grid.
-Cone halfway between 2 lines.
-Group of 4 (2 on each end).
Instructions:
-First player in each line makes eye contact and dribble toward cone.
-Players perform move (feint/scissor) before hitting the cone.
-Continue dribbling to the back of the line.
Coaching Points:
1. Correct technique.
2. Timing of the move.
3. Head up to see player after move.
4. 2nd touch.
Progressions:
-Pass to next player in line.
Regression:
-Only work on feint move.

Organization:
-Same as previous .
Instructions:
-Defender passes to attacker.
-Attacker receives the ball and runs at the defender.
-Defender does not try to win the ball.
-Pass to next player in line and next 2 players go.
Coaching Points:
1. Timing of the move.
2. Running at the defender.
3.Selling the "move".
Progressions:
-Defender can win the ball.

Organization:
-Same as previous.
Instructions:
-Defender plays ball to attacker.
-Attacker runs at the defender and trys to beat defender with feint/scissor.
-Attacker trys to score once around the defender.
-Defender trys to wins the ball, counter attack goal to score in.
Coaching Points:
1. Timing of the move.
2. Quickness of the move.
3. Running at the defender, don't wait to be closed down.
4. Head up to see the goal.

Purpose:
-Hope to create 1v1 situation by having 2 goals to score in.
-Switch the ball and have space to run at defenders 1v1.
Organization:
-30x30ys grid.
-4v4 to 2 goals.
Instructions:
-Free play, no restrictions.
Coaching Points:
1. Opportunity to isolate defenders 1v1.
2. Movement off the ball to create space.

SAQ and skill test of last week prior to warm up. (10 minutes)
Purpose:
-Work on dribbling.
-Fun activity for players to run at the beginning of practice.
Organization:
-30x30yd grid, seperated into 3 zones.
-Attackers line up on one end.
-1 defender per zone at the start.
Instructions:
-Players dribble through zones and try to reach the other end.
-If your ball is knocked out, you become a defender in that zone.
-When all players reach other end, dribble back to other side.
Coaching Points:
1.Small (Messi) touches, keep the ball close.
2. Moves to beat the defender.
3. Head up to see defender and other players.
Progressions:
-Cannot kick the ball and chase after it.
-Must stop ball within 5yds of endline.
