Game 1 in a GAG (Game/Analysis/Game) session. Playing out of the back in a SSG. Middle 1/3 of the full pitch is used as per Fusion FC training field availability. Overloads in the defensive 1/3 allow players to patiently build attack from the back whilst playing through the thirds of the field.

GAG 1 Playing out of the back (20 mins)
Normal game with mini goals and no shot/def areas infront of the goals (if keepers available use standard goals/rules) 6v6-8v8. If odd #of players use a Z2 bounce player or if players are not having success playing out, use a bounce player. Both teams use 2-1-3-1 shape or any formation that can simulate a back 4 and a HM
Rules - only restriction is the 2/3 v1 in Z1 when playing out.HM can drop in to split the CBs if needed as shown (GK would creat larger overload)
- If Att team can dribble or pass into opposing Z1 then there is no restrictions of players, either Def or Att. - normal game
- att team can pass back into Z1 and retain 2v1 advantage if they need to recycle the ball/keep possession.
Keys - Patience/good decision making.
Ball retention with correct support angles/distances/body shape to receive.
Recognize triggers to play forward (available players 1/2 turned and ready to receive?)
When the chance presents attack quickly as a team.
Recycle the ball back if needed to maintain poss.
