Keepers will build up on previous exercise by measuring and anticipating ball instead of just waiting for it stationary. Keepers should be moving forward as serve is thrown so time properly.
At catching station keeper will focus on clean, soft catches. Keepers should not be dropping the ball and should have hands activated.
At punching station, keepers will have an open goal behind server to aim and begin adding more power to punches. If a keeper misses the target, have them retrieve the ball before moving to the back of other line.
Coaching point: Remind keepers to punch with aim and power! Every punch should be with intention.

Keepers will be alternating in goal trying to prevent getting scored on while dealing with traffic and physical pressure. Each keeper will face 3 serves, one from each station.
Keepers will decide if they can catch the ball or if they must punch it back to server to avoid immediate threats in the area.
Servers will be standing outside 18 yrd box and must aim towards the keeper when serving the ball.
Traffic: All keepers serving as traffic will be inside the box at all times. Two "attackers" will be obstructing the keeper while one is standing in the direction the server is, if the keeper fails to punch or throw back to server and the ball is within the box, the attacker will now have a chance to score on keeper. Traffic is only to simulate game like scenarios and should NOT be actively impeding keeper from moving by force!
Coaching Points:
- Remind keepers they should be punching/throwing ball as far as possible to prevent being outnumbered in the box.
- Propose alternate options if keeper is struggling too much with clearing danger outside box, ie. Corner kicks, get closer to servers proximity, etc.
- Keepers should be loud and confident when coming for the serve.

10 mins
10-15 min or whatever time allows.
Split keepers into teams and play a volleyball style game with the objective of not letting the ball hit the ground.
Game Rules:
If the ball hits the ground, opposing team gets a point.
Keepers will punch the ball to keep it up in the air.
If a ball is too low to punch, keeper may catch the ball but may not move from that spot and must punch it back up to resume play.
At least two team mates must punch the ball before it crosses the net.
If ball is punched out of bounds, opposing team will serve ball.
Coaching Points:
- Remind keepers to be vocal and comanding
- Reinforce confidence by telling keepers catching OR punching is okay as long as they are confident, the decision is theirs and no one elses.

Keepers will start the day by walking a distance of the 18yd box from side to side. Keepers will be dribbling the ball with punches trying to keep it in the air as long as possible without dropping it. on the way back to starting spot, keepers will bounce ball on ground and catch at highest point possible. 2 times each exercise. Keep goalies in tighter spot for a more challenging time, this will force them to be aware of traffic and use peripheral vision.
