Control under pressure -
Groups of 6, 10x10 box (2 players inside)
Reds start, they feed the ball to player in the middle who must control and maintain possession under pressure from opponent. If they return ball to passer its one point, if they can turn and pass to other team-mate its 2.
The opposing team now has a turn, playing in the opposite direction.
Alternate middle players often.
Progressions -
Ball can be thrown in for control using, chest or thigh whilst under pressure
Key Points -
As per technical but added awareness of defender. Arms out for balance and shield the ball.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Game -
40x30, 5yd end zones.
5v5 but 1 player from each team in each end zone.
To score a goal the ball must be played to your teams player in the end zone who must control the ball correctly. When a goal is scored the team must attack the opposite end zone. A lofted pass into the zone which is controlled will score 2 points.
Alternate players in the end zones.
Conditions (if required) -
A player in the middle from each team can enter the end zone to put pressure on the ball.
Players in the end zone can step out and pressure nearest opposing player.
Key points -
Communication, awareness of space, being ready to receive the ball.
