Organisation: Use 1/4 pitch per diagram with net at one end and a neutral player in a safe channel at half
Activity: 11 players (1 GK, 1 neutral player at half in shaded safe channel, 3 teams of 3 players). Play 2 Attacking teams (2 teams of 3 players plus the neutral) versus the 1 remaining team (3 plus the GK), and try to score on the net. If the attacking team loses possession, and the defending team is able to make a pass to the GK or neutral player, the defending team becomes part of the attacking team, with the team that lost possession becoming the defenders. Prior to scoring the attacking team must make a pass to the neutral player.
Coaching Points: Can players transition quickly between attacking and defending. Is player movement expanding upon winning possession, and becoming compact upon losing possession. When transitioning to attack, are players creating passing lanes as their shape expands? When transitioning to defense are players either quickly challenging ball or creating compact support to mark or block passing lanes?

Murder Ball (20 mins)
Organisation: SSG
Activity: 2 teams play a small sided game is non-stop action. If team scores a goal or plays ball out of bounds, a new ball is played by a feeder at different area of field to advantage of other team. In order to score 2 players of attacking team need to be in penalty area. Play continuously until set number of balls are exhausted.
Coaching Points: Can players transition quickly when feeder plays ball to new area of field, from attacking to defending and vice versa. Are players able to both apply offensive pressure by making attacking runs and getting into dangerous/penalty area, and then quickly get back and defend their own goal: tracking back with attackers, getting goal side, creating balance in defensive zone, retreat to front of their goal, etc.
