Possesion Play & Progressive Overload (20 mins)

Possession Play & Progressive Overload

12 players (3 teams of 4 players) plus any balalnce of players are floaters that work on the team in possesion to start with. It becomes a 4+2 = 6 inside + 4 outside 10 v 4 situation.

Yellow (outside) players are restricted to no more than 2 touches and can move along sides.

Green players (floaters) work for team in possession

Bl;ue players try to gain possession, if they do it reverses and becomes a 10v4 with red players trying to get possession.

Change over yellows with either red or blues after a certain period.

P1 - move team in possesion to no more than 2 touch, 1 touch ideally

P2 - move team to 1 touch

P3 - target 10 or 20 passes to win the game without defending team getting the ball

P4 - harder- support players green become defenders one at a time 4v6 internal but also 8v6 overall

P5 - harder still - move two yellows to become green so it becomes 4 v 8 or 8v8 and side players can move to either of the two sides to help out.
