Method: Starting with 3 CB's The spaces between the Three CB's is quite wide and you can see the starting position of our Wing Backs. CB's need to keep passing lanes open between themselves but can rely on the GK for extra security
Coaching Points: Look to utilise the width from the full backs. Utilise the overload with 4v2/4v3 at the back. Can we free a CB to drive forward with the ball, Can one of our CB's receive a set and switch first time?

Method: Set Red up as 4-3-3 and Blue 4-4-2 Give bonus points to ach team separately before kick off. Red Team - If we can build out of our own half through our 3 CB techniques we get a bonus point Blue Team - if you stop them building out from the back you get a bonus point(Let the game run before introducing this bonus to make sure the Red Team can build out)
Coaching Points: Help the Red Team to notice when to drop players in to make a 3 at the back. Especially the False FB. Orientate the players into the correct areas of the pitch to be an option. Focus players attention on the phases of play and the triggers most likely to occur in those phases of play.
