Principle of focus = Breaking LinesÂ
Area size - 60m x 30m
Number of players - 5 v 5 in the grid, 2 goalkeepers and 3 common players
Timings - 4 x 3 minute blocks of play
Breaking lines - Coaching the red team in possession to transfer the ball from defence to attack as quick as possible. There are 3 ways of breaking lines.. Through, Round or Over. This session is predominantly focusing on going through the lines at speed and below waist height when possible.
We want to advance the ball as quickly as possible by moving the ball Fast and accurately to our players.
Coaching points in possession - Move the ball quickly and limit touches
Make the pitch big (width and depth)
Try to play in areas where you can see 3 corners of the pitch
Play round, through or over depending on the pressure coming from the defending team.Â
Targets - Red team can score 3 points by splitting the opposition through the 3 areas, and scoring past the keeper.
Red team can also earn one point by using the common players on the sides and scoring past the keeper
The blue team can score 2 points if they win the ball, break the lines and score past the goalkeeper within 20 Seconds
Challenges- Playing 3 touch or under and moving the ball within 3 seconds of receiving it
Conditions - 3 touches maximum.

The aim is to break the lines of the opposing team by passing through them to teammates in the different areas.Â
Red team will score 3 goals if they split the opposition from defence through to midfield and then attack and scoring past the goalkeeper. 1 point for playing around and using the common players on the outsideÂ
If the blue team win the ball, they have 20 seconds to break the lines and score past the goalkeeper, this will be worth 2 goals.
There is a limit on touches - 3 touch maximum which can be progressed or regressed accordingly.
