Developing quick play

3v3 in each half (+ 1 floater) 2 goal keepers. Team in possesion ateempts to playto teammates in opp square they must chip ballin to goal keepers hands to score. Then they attack opp direction. Floater can go in either square to create 4v3.

*High tempo

*Quick/clever play, 1 touch/ round corner/ disguise.

Organisation (brief description of session):

Game starts Red v Blue blues are given 1 goal start. Winner is 1st team to get 2.

*when reds are in possesion blues are encoraged to drop off and defend own half.

*be compact. Tuck in send reds wideif poss.be patient let reds play in front - upon winning the ball blues attack quickly.

Learning Objectives:

Technical:

Clever play / quick play. Body position to recive 1st touch away from defender.

Tactical:

Movement - dont be static.

Awareness - recognise opportunity to pass across. Use of floater.

Physical:

Short sharp bursts - game like conditions. A, B, Cs.

Psych/ Social:

Confidence. Communication. Problem solving. Team work. Decision making.
