Organization: Functional Dt: Defensive Transition 16-18 Players 25min
Pitch Parameters: zone 3/4 Half Field
Equipment: Bibs,( 8 yellow 8 Red, two Blue) 10 balls, cones two nets
Defensive Transition:
- Recovery Runs 100% sprint
Procedure: Game starts with the 7 dribbling pass the cone and crossing the ball for the 9 to Finish. Now the coach looks to play into the red 4 or 5 where it begins as a 8 v 7. The striker 9 needs to recover we need to step up and prevent a forward pass.
Press look to stop the forward Pass.
Coaching Points: Scanning, see the ball, unit, see the danger!, Movement, body shape, relation to the ball and attacker.
Press apply quick pressure on the ball to stop ball progressing forward.
Dictate - Deny/Delay/Deflect Defend win the ball or force opponent into a mistake. Find the closet player in relation to the ball.

Blue looks to win the ball and they can play out to any blue
Blue must look to score in the opposite goal while red looks to repress and win the ball back before blue can connect 3 passes, if they do they can now score on the big Goal (Opposite to Blue)
