First action before 1st problem.10 mins

Key Factors

10-12 minute function

Blues to score by playing through midfield box and score a goal. Reds to win the ball back and get to server or clear ball.

Blues to be managed, Reds to be coached

Green server will pass ball to either of the closest blue midfielders (right blue cdm No:6 left blue cdm No: 5.)

Red AMC (7) to curve run to stop pass lane to blue 5, and press blue 6. Vica versa if green passes to blue 6.

At the same time 2 Red screen (6 and 8) press on the inside shoulder of blue AMC's. Stopping passing lane into strikers and marking the blue AMC's.

Red 6 and 8 also forcing blue AMC's to play wide not leaving them inside.

Red DC's also then press on inside shoulder of blue strikers 9 and 10. again forcing these players wide and not central.

Red keeper to anticipate through ball, so be aware of through ball and play slightly higher around the penalty spot.

If ball gets played from blue cdm into blue amc Red 7 needs to then stop passing lane back to blue cdm's. He will need to occupy the area to block that pass, but then also press the player with the ball.

If ball is with Blue amc the red man marker needs to position himself and put pressure in back of player forcing him to go wide instead of playing the ball inside to strikers. Opposite red cdm nedds to drop slightly off blue amc to stop passing lane to striker also.

The first managed problem I will give to the blues, is for the blue AMC's to use the width of the lines by standing as wide as possible, blue 10 then drops into the space between the split cdm's and creates a 5 v 3 overload in the midfield area.

Screen 2

Key Factors

The 1st problem is if the Blue 9 and 10 go wide high up the pitch.

Red team plan is to force blues away from the middle of the pitch and force wide.

The 2 red Dc's need to mark closely on the inside shoulder of the blue 9 and 10, forcing them out wide.

The right hand red cdm then needs to drop into the big hole the Dcs have left, watching for the blue left amc exploiting the space left by the dcs, and also stopping the passing lane out to the number 10.

the red left cdm then stops the passing lane to the blue left cdm and amc. At the same time on that line pressing the blue player in possesion.

Red amc then has to drop and go tight on inside shoulder right blue amc again forcing wide.

If blue have to recycle the ball and start back to the cdm, reds retreat back to starting position with the twin screen and high amc pressing blue cdms.

Red Dcs then need to drop a couple of yards of the split forwards on the inside anticipating the pass into the wide forward.
