Possible progression - recovery defnder allowed to be added for the black team after a designated time (5 seconds) in order for the white team to be efficient wioth their natural overload in numbers.

Session 2 - General - In Possession - Creating and Exploiting Overloads
Mode:
3v2 into a 4v3 transition
Principles:
Understand when and how to exploit a numerical advantage against the opposition.
Organization/Area Size
Area size is two 18 yard boxes with half way line in middle
Two players in white on the outside are at the half line of the exercise for the Transitional aspect of the exercise.
2X10 minutes with 1 minute rest in between.
Explanation:
Coach will focus on the white team in the 4v3 moment. 3 players in black begin by attacking against 2 players in white by receiving the ball initially fed by the Coach. If the team in white recover possession the two players on the outside in white at the half way line step into the field to make it a transitional 4v3 moment against the team in black. If the black team score a goal or finish with a shot on goal a ball is quickly served to the GK or on-field player in white to create the same 4v3 transitional overload for the white team. New players step in after each cycle of 3v2/4v3.
How:
Head Coach - focus on the white team - exploit overload, maintain realism
Assistant coach - focus on the black team upon turnover - ensure realism with their shape.
Teams are switched out to perform the opposite role after 10 minutes
Challenges, Conditions and Targets:
Encourage creativity. Be brave when you have the numerical advantage and through movement and positions how can you exploit that advantage. In order to create realism give a time limit from winning the ball to get a shot off on goal. Offside rule is in place to ensure the exercise is realistic.
Possible progression - Add in a recovering defender for the team in black who counts down from 5 seconds before joining the play
