Organization
- 20 x 20 square
- Each player has a ball each
Activity
- The players have two minutes to dribble and get a feel for the ball getting as many touches as possible on the ball. The ball must stay on the ground.
- Players continue to dribble through the area but now react to the call of Messi or Ronaldo. When Messi is called the players must keep the ball tight when Ronaldo is called players must drive out in to the space with bigger touches.
- Continue to add players with different ways of running with the ball
- Hazard - lots of small then a big to drive away
- Iniesta - small touches then plays a 1-2 with open player
- Robben - change direction with lots of little fakes running across horizontal
Progression
- Add defenders, encourage players to play to the situation, e.g big space Ronaldo touch, little space Messi Touch
Coaching Emphasis
- Different ways of running with the ball
- Head up
- Touches with different parts of the foot
- Changes of speed and Direction

4 stations ( 4 teams x 4 Players) - Fitness & Ball Mastery work: ball mastery dribble to cone and back; stop ball for next player; each group will rotate through different stations
Key points:
Ball Mastery:

Round 2 - sole of the foot using right foot forward; sole of the foot using left foot on return
Round 3 - inside/outside right foot forward; inside/outside left foot on return
Round 4 - dribble with laces right foot forward; dribble with laces left foot return
Fitness:
1. Cones - sharp change of direction on cutting movement; plan outside foot and use in-step to change direction
2. Ladders - coordination & precision over ladders - one step in, fast feet
3. Hurdles - knees up and explode as toes touch ground - 2 foot hops;
4. Agility poles - lateral movements through poles-hips forward, leg power to change direction
Progressions - ask players to perform a unique turn to dribble back - i.e. pull back, inside turn, outside turn etc..

Organization:
10-12 players. Players to be split into 2 teams of 5v5 or 6v6. The field will be approx. 25x20m (adapt for age/abilit/numbers)Teams can score in any net.
Procedure:
Once a team scores in a net must attack a different net before attacking that one again. If ball goes out of play, ball can be passed or dribbled in.

Organization
- Play inside a circle with the approximate diameter 30 yards
- All players start in the circle
Activity
- All players move the ball showing any skills they would like to aslong as the ball stays on the floor, encourage as many touches as possible
Progression
- Stuck in the mud
- There are 3 players selected as taggers without a ball, they attempt to tag all those players who have a ball.
- The rest of the players attempt to stay away from the taggers as they dribble around the area
- If tagged the player with the ball stands still with their ball in their hands above their head and their feet wide apart.
- To be released a team mate must pass the ball through their legs
- See which defending team can get the most people stuck in the mud by the end of the time
Progression
- Rather than the players tagging the opposition they have a ball in their hands that they then have to throw off the attackers ball to get them to be stuck in the mud
Coaches Emphasis
- Awareness of players and space
- FUN
- Lots of touches on the ball
- Communication to make others aware you are stuck in the mud
