Component 2
9v9 game where if you lose the ball in one of the attacking zones, you have to recover the ball before the other team makes 3 passes in that zones to get a point.
Coaching points
React quickly when team loses possession
Closest player to immediately press the ball
Other players to apply pressure and cut off passing lines
Make the area as small as possible
Try to force a mistake
Maximum pressure on the first touch of each player
Triggers to look for are bad first touch, bouncing ball, closest player reacts then the rest follow, ball in the air

Phase of play 1
1. If FB gets on the ball from GK in air, then LST must arch his run to stop a pass into CB
2. LM to close down FB quickly on his first touch and force him back
3. All other midfielders shuffle over quickly to close down space
4. 2nd ST to move into space left by 1st ST to stop ball into midfield
5. Try to force ball back to GK and then re-shape again

Phase of play 1b
1. If FB gets on the ball from GK in air, then LST must arch his run to stop a pass into CB
2. LM to close down FB quickly on his first touch and force him back
3. All other midfielders shuffle over quickly to close down space
4. 2nd ST to move into space left by 1st ST to stop ball into midfield, then presses the GK when pass is played back
5. 1st ST to move back infield to pressure GK too
6. RM to make run to block off pass to opposite FB and make GK kick long

Phase of play 2
1. If ball is played to FB on ground, but he takes a bad first touch, the 1st ST to arch run to force FB down the line
2. 2nd ST to make run to cut out pass back into CB
3. RM to press quickly to force FB to play long
4. RCM to move forward to apply additional pressure

Phase of play 2b
1. If ball is played to FB on ground, but he takes a bad first touch, the 1st ST to arch run to force FB down the line
2. 2nd ST to make run to cut out pass back into CB
3. RM to press quickly to force FB to play long
4. RCM to move forward to apply additional pressure
5. If FB plays back to CB, then 1st ST to apply immediate pressure to his blind side to stop switch of play
6. 2nd ST to block off passing lane and force play back to GK

Phase of play 3
1. LB tries to play to wide player but loses possession
2. LM to apply immediate pressure as closest player and tries to prevent player from playing forward
3. 1st ST to to drop in quickly and 2nd ST to move across field
4. LCM to also apply quick pressure to try and force player back
5. LB to move into a position to block pass to ST

Pressing game. If a team gets 10 passes in a row they will receive 1 point. If the team loses posession, they have to recover the ball in that area before the other team can get 3 passes in a row and transfer the ball to a different zone for a point.
