Title: Technical Turning / receiving (15 minutes)
Aim: Put players in a setting where sprinting to get on the ball, turning to receive on your front foot and successfully connecting with a team mate is the player action needed for success.
Activity / Organization: Players work in groups of three. Moving around the grid within the technical structure attached to each round. Players must release the pass before players are set waiting at the cone, discuss timing / weight off pass.
Round 1: Inside of right foot, 2 - inside of left, 3 - outside of right, 4, outside of left. Four minutes each round.
Notes: Discuss why we would do this before playing at South Campus.
Coaching script / plan for failure:
- Players will fail to turn their body and receive on their front foot - discuss why doing this allows you to play forward, how no matter the weight or direction of pass your accountable for receiving with your front foot, move and turn quickly.
- Players will fail to scan before they receive the pass - discuss training habits and reference mental note during the warm up

Title: 2 grids of 4v3+2 in the middle (20 minutes)

Activity / Organization:
Players in grid are not allowed to leave grid.
Players in blue connect two passes then try to find on of the 'Forwards'in the middle.
Ball must be played back to a blue midfielder. Then across the grid toopposite blue players.
If defenders win the ball, they try to keep possesion in the grid.One Blue Player then can join the activity.
Coaching Points:
Angles of support as the ball moves.
Pass and move Opposite direction of the ballPassing out of pressure to find forward.Supporting the ball as it is played forwards.Passing out of pressure.

Title: 1v0 to 3v2 - (20 minutes)
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're getting reps in the scoring phase. Mentally being ready to take care of the scoring opportunity, hitting the target with conviction, having composure, being effective in 1v1 situations are the behaviors needed for success.
Activity / Organization: Attacking team in blue (5 minutes per round) play 1v0, must shoot before entering box, must be done at pace, player the joins to make it 2v1 and then 3v2. If players score from a cross from the crossing zone its worth five, red win the ball they go to goal, their goals are worth two.
Plan for failure / Coaching script:
Players will fail to land on their striking foot when performing the 1v0, their hips and shoulder wont face the goal and they wont hit the target - demo exactly what that looks like
Players service from the crossing zone will roll into the keeper - coach rotating your hips to face between the PK sport and the six yard box, getting off both feet and transferring your weight
9 will fall to control the contact during the first time finish - discuss pre training - change of pace before the cross, leaning forward, stepping into the finish with the inside of your foot, hips and shoulders facing the goal, landing on striking foot.

Title: Set & Finish (15 minutes )
Aim: Put players in a setting where they are getting reps finishing in front of goal where successfully setting the ball and finish into the corner is the behavior for success.
Organization / Activity: Players play forward pass into the 9, she checks & sets the ball using the inside of her foot with the appropriate weight to allow the player to move forward and finish into either corner. Activity repeats itself in opposite direction.
Coaching Script / Plan for failure:
Players will fail to set the ball by choosing the wrong surface area. Demo what using your inside of the foot looks like, having your arm up to prepare for contact to successful take the weight off the pass.
Players will fail to land on their striking foot when attempting to finish. Discuss why (hitting the target, keeping attempt low, having all your weight forward) this is important.
Players will fall to use composure & deception when finishing. Demo closing your hips, using your eyes & shooting across goal.

Title: Warm Up & Cognitive fitness (15 minutes)Organization / Activity: Cognitive fitness, players must react to simple math problem, adding / subtracting numbers, even numbers sprint right, odd numbers move left. Think & move just like a game. After 8 reps per group, have one big line and make it a competition, top three are out / safe, left with a bottom three, safe players must pick a player they think will win.
