We have turned into a 2-3-3 with the holding mid dropping back - once the play evolves - wb can drop back and allow holding mid to press forward. Our patterns don't really change
Screen 1
indoor - 3-1-3-1 formation - outdoor will be 4-2-3-1. Outdoor - the wb will be higher up field and in wide position. The two cb will split and receive ball. The 2 holding mids will support in the gap created by split of cb. In orer to facilitate this pattern outside we need to have this scenario indoor.
wm push up and tuck in a little - cautious not to block channel to stiker. WB also push up and provide width. The cb and hm split (as wide as box) to receive ball. Indoor - we are asking the holding mid to play the role of second cb if outdoor. The attacking mid will then drop into the channel created by the split - thus the indoor attacking mid is playing role of outdoor holding mid. I think this is a better transition from indoor to outdoor.
