CF Stays deep protecting the middle inviting the first pass to either CB. 

Wingers are positioning slightly deeper to cover fullbacks and encourage GK to play to either CB. 

Man for man in midfield with both CMs marking the inside shoulder to protect the middle of the pitch and ensure the opponent recieves toward the touchline. 

As the ball is moving to the CB, the CF starts to press making an out to in movement to force wide. 

Ball side winger (this case RW) tucks inside and does a 50/50 job covering the pass inside to the opposition CM and enticing the pass to the FB. 

Once the FB gets the ball the winger makes a curved out to in run showing the FB down the line where they will track them. 

Away from the ball - Far side winger comes inside to take their closest CM (this case the opponent 6). This protects 2/3 of the pitch leaving the FB free and allows the 8 the opportunity to come across and form a +1 overload in midfield.

What if the opposition are able to switch through midfield

By dropping the far winger back into midfield, if the striker fails to recover and cover a switch across to the CB, the winger will have to jump out to press the ball with then the CM ready to jump on the FB should they get the ball with 6 taking the 8s position and the 10 falling into the 6s position.
