Learning Objectives:
- Develop the ability to win and keep the ball.
- Develop the recognition of when and how to press.
- Develop the understanding of how to support a team mate who has just won the ball.
Detail:
- Can you use your body to get between the opponent and the ball, this will allow you to keep the ball and use your body as a barrier.
- Can you constantly scan and understand where supporting players are if you do win the ball.
- Can you recognise when to press, a poor pass, a poor touch, a negative touch or if you can press in pairs or a team.
- Once a team mate has won the ball how quickly can you find a space to support them, can you move away from them but still be on a passing line. Trust they have the ability to stay on the ball and find a team mate.
Rules:
- Reds keep the ball for as long as they can, if they play a 1-2 around a Blue (commit to combine) they score a point.
- When Blues win the ball can they play to an outside yellow before scoring in one of the 4 goals.
-Rotate teams after every goal is score.
Reds keep ball, Blues win it back, Yellows on the outside.
Blues keep the ball, Yellows win it back, Reds on the outside.
yellows Keep the ball, Reds win it back, Blues on the outside.
