Warm up

Session Design

  • 1,2 touch passing and moving in certain half 
  • on coaches whistle who ever has a ball must pass through manneqins and make forward run to other side

Progressions

  • You cant make a straight pass and you must shout name who passing to
  • Who ever makes the pass someone else must make the run (3rd man)
  • Pass & move but stay in end zones. On coaches whistle just a long lofted pass you don’t need to follow

Position Specific

Session design

  • Blue 4,8 & 10 attack red 4,8 & 10
  • Reds have 10 seconds to pass to yellow 9 and score in two touches in mini goals
  • blues look to build and either make 5 passes in midfield then slide ball down sides for team mate to attack unopposed or pass straight into bounce board and get a 3rd man run to receive and score in 5 seconds   
  • swap players round after 10 attacks
  • yellow players on two touch 

Coaching detail

  • Drive into space at angle to create space other side
  • punched forward passes 
  • 10 staying high in pockets plus on blind side 
  • 4 bounce pass or touch one way to disguise 
  • 8 rotations and quick forward runs into space
  • reds don't get played through defend on inside
Progressions
  • Allow one defender to follow out of area 
  • allow two defenders to follow
