1v1 On the Wings (20 mins)
This activity starts with the coach playing the ball to a winger, who is attacking in a lane on the outside. The winger will be engaged by a defender. The defender's job is to win the ball and return to the coach. The winger must attempt to beat the defender down the line and get a cross in for the runners to finish.
Keep score. Defense vs Offense.

In this activity, the attacker dribbles into the box that the defensive player is in, they will go 1v1, in that box, you cannot dribble out of it. The attacking player cannot shoot if he does not beat the defender and dribble out the other end of the box. You cannot exit out the sides and shoot. If the defender wins the ball, he or she must look to finish in the small goal as quickly as possible. Make the other team pay for their mistakes.
Attempt the beat the player with 1 short quick move. No long drawn out dribble sessions. Beat the player and score.
Defense must jockey and not stab. They should attempt to direct the attacker in the direction they want them to go. Try to limit the attacker's options by closing down available space in the grid. Patience combined with knowing when to attack and win the ball.
