Football Problem
When the team loses possession of the ball, they are too slow to transition into their BPO positions allowing the opposition plenty of space to penetrate and counter attack
Session Objective
In this session I aim to improve the ability of my players to recognise the right moment to immedietely transition into BPO positions when the team loses possession
Organisation
Three teams of 4 with a GK at the end of each grid and two jokers in the middle zone between the grids
Play starts with the Red team playing a 5 v 3 in one grid trying to transfer the ball to the opposite grid via the jokers in the middle zone. The team in the opposite grid repeats the process.
If the defending team cant win possession of the ball before it gets transferred to the opposite grid, the three closest defenders must immediately transition into BPO positions in the opposite grid.
If the team in possession loses possession of the ball, they must immediately transition into BPO psitions in the opposite grid.
Rotate Jokers regularly
Progression
Team Task

In this session I aim to improve the ability of my players to recognise the right moment to immedietely transition into BPO positions when the team loses possession
Organisation
Teams play a 10 v 6 in the outer grid and play a 6 v 3 in the inner grid.
When the ten in the outer grid lose possession of the ball, three of them must immediately transition into the inner grid and try to win the ball back while the playrs left on the outside perform dynamic stretches.
The process repeats itself
