Screen 1 (10 mins)

Y passing with Movement

Play starts with player A moving in front of the mannequin to receive a pass off B. He then plays a pass back to B, who plays a pass to C. As C is receiving the pass, player A moves as the ball moves to original position to receive a pass off C and then play a pass to D. D then plays back to start to repeat the process.

5v3 Possession (15 mins)

THE SESSION

Squares marked 15x15, teams in 5v3 or other suitable overload to allow ease of passing .

Red must have players on all lines, along with 1 or 2 central players in squares.

Perform 3 or 4 minute repetitions with 1 minute breaks to rotate defenders to maintain high intensity.

Ultimate 4v4 Game (15 mins)

THE SESSION: 

- Two teams

- 3v3 to 5v5 with GKs

- Three games within one pitch

- Game 1 - End Zone game

- Game 2 - 4 Goal game

- Game 3 - Normal game

- Coach to rotate games as they see fit

- For example 4min end zone game, 1min rest then Normal game and so on

KEY POINTS: 

- Coaches can give individual challenges or team challenge and rules for the games as they see fit 

Examples: 

- See both goals

- Can you outplay your opponent

- Can you dominate 1v1

- Control the game in possession (Height, Width, Depth)

- Reactions when losing the ball (3 seconds to win back)

Back foot and side moves (10 mins)

Set up:

- 15 x 10 rectangle

- Two mannequins half way between (or posts with mannequin covers)

- A passes backfoot to B who has pushed off from the mannequin (just a couple fo steps max) and receives slighlty behind to break line

- A moves to B

- B then passes backfoot to C and progresses to C

- C takes touch to side and passes to feet of D who touches to finish in behind

- C takes his place

- The next rotation starts on D's touch

- Work in groups of 6-8

Key Messages:

- Strong pass to back foot

- Movement away from defender to break line and backfoot receive

- Quality in side moves - over emphasise moves and first touch away from defender

- Protect as you do side mvoes - keep the ball away from defedner

Progressions:

- Receive back to goal

- Work left and right foot

- Change passing sequences

Screen 5 (10 mins)

Pass and Move Shooting Prep

Player A passes to B. B has checked off the mannequin and ready to receive with an open body on the back foot. B then plays back to A, who plays a pass to C. C then sets for B who plays across to D. D now sets for C, who plays a ball in behind for D to shoot at goal.

Players move from A to B, B to C, C to D between sets.

(Blue players A and B. Red players A and B work together). Play starts with Player A RWTB across field and delivering a straight killer pass in behind defence for player B to finish. Alternate sides. Straight pass for angled run.
