Activity:
-6v3 to (1) Goal and (3) targets
-Target team (Yellow): #1, #2, #3, #4,#5 #6 - Target players: #7, #9, #11
- Opposition team (Black): #7, #9, #11
Scoring:
The Yellow team plays against the Black opponents and tries to score by passing the ball to any of its three targets. If the Black opponents win the ball from the Yellow team they can go to goal.
Progression:
Rotate players (targets etc).
Note: if you have 2 - 3 spare players have them rotate. Players can take it in turns to do a ladder or dribbling series on the sideline.
Coaching Points:
1. Reinforce previous points for Technique of GK
2. Technique of outfield players
-Passing: Type, Accuracy and Pace
-Receiving: Body position, First touch, Surface Selection of the foot and ball.
-Dribbling: Running with the ball

- Recognition of Combination Play Opportunity - When to pass long or short
4. Communication from GK to organise and position the back 4

- 8 v 6 to (1) large Goal and (2) targets players at half way
- Target team (Yellow) formation: #1, #2, #3, #4,#5, #6, #7, #11

- Ball starts from GK
Scoring:
- The Yellow team scores by passing the ball to any of their (2) targets through the gates
- If the Black team wins the ball they can attack the large goal.
Progression:
- Rotate target players
- Touch limit for oppostion team to get ball to GK
Coaching Points:
1. Reinforce all previous points made
2. Width and depth provide by #7 & #11
3. Players must read cues of other players and GK to position accordingly for build up

INTENSITY: Low ACTIVITY TIME: 30 secs REST: 30 secs INTERVALS: 20
Activity:
- Place (2) cones 40 yards from the goal in the flank area.
- Place (2) cones or flags in the center of the space 40 yards from goal.
- Position #2, #3, #7, #9, #10, #11 accordingly.
- #11,7 dribble in flank area and provide cross/service to GK.
- GK makes the save and distributes to the opposite #2/3.
- #2/3 dribble and make a penetrating pass to targets #9,10. Repeat on each side
Coaching Points:
Technique of GK
1. As #11/7 dribbles into the channel, shift position & angle to make the save. Then recover to distribute to #2/3.
2. Collection the balland footwork to position for collection.
3. Type of distribution (underarm, overarm, drop and pass)
