Switching play - Warm up (15 mins)

Yellow and red players are end/wide players and blue players are middle players. Yellow and red players are restricted and cannot move around but middle players can move freely. Pass from end to end (red players to yellow players), using the middle player to switch the ball. The middle player cannot receive the ball from the player they just passed to. Start with two balls and can progress to three balls. Encourage communication and movement from the middle player to switch the ball. Switch middle players every two minutes.

With the press, we're trying to force the play centrally. Opposition must transfer by using midfield player to get to the other end.

7v7 game. Players get an extra point if they score a goal which involves a switch through a player in the middle.
