Passing and receiving exercises to develop accurate passing and good close support positions.
Low pressure exercise to develop long-strike technique.
Could use games of Forcings Back to add on to long-strike practice.
Insist on quality passes and receiving position.
Communication to other box players - they will be focused on their passes - long balls will not always be at the same time.
Extension Option 1. include signal of one player checking out of box to receive long pass outside the box. Players need to be watching for movement of checking player.
Because 2 balls are in play with each group, there is enough pressure without a defender.
Extension Option 2. use 1 defender trying to win ball from 3 and only 1 ball. 3 passes before transferring the ball to the other group. Same defender moves to other grid to defend as ball travels. 30 - 45 seconds as defender. If defender wins the ball he can try to score on a small goal in between the zones.

3 blue pass in their own 9x9m box. After 4 passes, pass the ball into the red's box.
Variations
1. passing squares are next to each other 2. passing squares are separated by 1 box 3. passing squares are separated by 2 boxes 4. diagonal long pass- 1s play long to 4s; 2s play long to 3s 5. 6 blues play with 1 ball in area 2 & 8; 6 reds play in area 1 & 5 with 1 ball; long strike in the air after 5+ passes 6. play 6 v 6 in boxes 5,6,7+ 8 to main goal and 2 small goals.
