Organization: Players are placed into pairs in a 18yx18y area (based on number of players, may need to expand area).
Description: 1 player is the leader, and one player starts as the follower. Encourage players to explore different movements (walking, running, jumping, rolling, running backwards, moving sideways). After 30-60sec swap the leader and follower.
Coaching points: Distance, space, timing of fakes, unbalance defender, change of speed.
Progressions: Add a ball in for each player.

Organization: Set up multiple triangles using cones / flat markers within a 18y x 18y box. Adjust the size of space and triangles based on ability & number of players (more players = more space needed; smaller space = more difficult)
Description: Assign 2 or 3 players to start in a triangle (based on numbers). The rest of the players are dribbling and moving within the area. Players with a ball will look to pass to a player in the triangle, the player in the triangle will take the ball out of the space and the player who passed the ball will now take their place.
Coaching points: Head up & scanning, who is ready for the ball? Passing = inside of foot, strike middle of the ball and follow through (point foot to target). What makes a good pass? = weight of pass, accuracy of pass. Balance on standing foot, plant foot beside the ball. Dribbling technique.
Progressions: Once players get the hang of it, add in a progression that they must take the ball out a different side of the triangle. If the ball comes through one line, they must receive and exit out 1 of the other two lines in the triangle. Focus on their first touch & body shape to accomplish this.
+add in a defender who is trying to steal a ball, if they steal your ball you become the defender (or make it a time limit & 1pt for every ball stolen).

Organization: 20x25 field of play. Depending on nets available, use additional fields for endzone games (no nets)
Description: 3v3 / 4v4 Free play game (multiple fields). Score on goals or dribble and stop ball in end zone. Play kick in OR Dribble in if ball goes out of play.
Coaching Points: Follow Session topic + General Principles of play
Progressions: 1 ball game (team touches their net after a goal). multi ball game (touch your net after you score). everyone with a ball (dribble around your net after you score)

Warm up: Banana Tag (10 mins)
Organization: 10y x 10y / 12y x 12y area based on number of players. Create 2 areas if needed (8-10 max per group).
Description: Players play a game of banana tag. 2 players are it (red) while the rest try to avoid being tagged. If tagged by someone who is it, that player is now frozen with hands together over their head. Teammates must save them by peeling the banana! Pull down each arm of the player who is a banana. Swap players who are it every 2/3 minutes.
Coaching points: distance, space, timing of fakes, unbalance defender, change of speed.
Progressions: add a ball! Each player must now travel with a ball at their feet & peel their teammate to free them by dribbling the ball to them - stopping with their foot on their ball and pulling down each arm.
+add in different ball manipulation exercises (outside, inside, laces, sole, skill)
