6v3 Rondo

Two groups of 6v3 Rondo in a 12x12 area. 2. Defenders stay in the middle for two minutes. 3. When attackers lose the ball, the 3 defenders try to keep it as long as possible. Attacking team collapses and tries to win the ball back as fast as possible.

CPs: Quick recognition of the moment the ball is being lost to press collectively and then connect a pass to break out of the pressure and maintain possession.

6v3 Transition Game

1. Two 12x15 areas with neutral zone (5x15) between. Defending team stays in for a specific time limit, 3-4 minutes. If attacking team maintains possession for at least 5 passes, they then play the ball to the 3rd team in the opposite grid. When defending team wins ball, they transition to the attack and one of their 3 players in the neutral zone join that grid to keep possession. Attacking team transitions to defense and collapses to win the ball back. 5 passes/switch still applies to defending team that won the ball as they can switch the ball to the 3rd team after 5 passes. Attacking team that lost the ball then moves full time to defensive team and 3 of their players move to the far grid to defend. Ball cannot be passed above the knee.

CPs: Quick recognition of the moment the ball is being lost to press collectively and then connect a pass to break out of the pressure and maintain possession. 2. Attackers press to regain possession. 3. effort and intensity to win the ball back. By making the team play the ball on the ground, it emphasizes ball control and split passes.
