Passing pattern warm up15 mins

SET UP: Passing warm up. Set up a triangle, ball is played to to next cone (receiving player has made a movement), ball is bounced back and a 1-2 is played. Player follows pass.

KEY POINTS: Movement off the cone to create an angle, speed of 1-2, direction of pass into space (is the angle enough to keep it away from the defender)

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Go clockwise and anti-clockwise to ensure use of both feet.

2v1 bounce to move20 mins

SET UP: Pitch is split into 6 zones and groups play a 2v1 moving rondo. Ball can only be moved out of zone by the use of a 1-2. If defender gets the ball they swap into attacking team.

KEY POINTS: How can we keep possession, what type of area am I in? How far is the return pass in the 1-2 being played - is it realistic?

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: 2 roaming defenders in each half to allow more game like conditions and decision making.

4v4 conditioned game20 mins

SET UP: 4 v 4 players can now go anywhere but same rules still apply to move out of square (if too many players have magic wide men to bounce off)

KEY POINTS: hape - Is it realistic? Is it allowing us the opportunity to play into space? Body position when receiving. Are we moving the ball with a purpose?
