Objective:
To gain comfort sustaining possession in higher areas of the field, dominating the center of the field.
Organization:
50x44. 8 orange cones, 8 green cones, 6 yellow bibs, 6 orange bibs, 8 balls.
Conditions of play:
Players must complete a minimum of 2 passes inside each of the 3 zones. If possession is won in Zone 2, that team can play 2 passes and go directly to Zone 3 to create a goal scoring opportunity. If they choose to play backwards, they have to play through all 3 zones, they cant skip one. Players can't dribble across zones and if the ball is in Zone 1, they can only have players in Zone 2 not Zone 3. Only in Zone 2 can you have players in both zones to encourage dominating the center of the field.
Coaching Points:
Decision making on recognizing when to penetrate and when to play higher percentage passes. Speed of play to shift the opposition to create passing lanes above the ball. Movement in the first, second and third 'moment' of the game, not just showing for the first ball and that's it.

Objective:
To be able to recognize, while sustaining the ball in the middle of the field, how to break the final line of defense to create a goal scoring opportunity.
Organization:
Middle Zone (50x65), Bottom Zone 30x55, 8 Cones, 7 yellow bibs, 7 orange bibs. 8 balls. Setting up in 4-2-3-1 vs 4-3-3
Conditions of play:
Red team start in possession, can play in the middle zone, however when they penetrate the end zone, the ball can't come back into the zone that the possession started in, making the attacking team having to take care of when and how they penetrate the final area. When opposition win the ball they can go straight to goal.
Coaching points:
Primary players: 6/8/10 on how we can sustain the ball and pass selection. Secondary players: 2/3/7/11 to recognize movement to break into the final area and working on relationships with each other and spacing in wide areas. Looking to shift the ball quickly to create space and overloads (1v1/2v1) in the wide and inside wide channel to break into Zone 4 to finish.

Coaching points:
Limited stoppages - making sure players understand attacking principles coached in the session (mobility above the ball, sustaining possession and recognizing when to go to goal.

direction towards B. Player A receives above the cone, taking a
positive touch inside, then plays B who is below the cone. B then
plays into D. D plays into where C has now moved and the cycle
continues.
Coaching points:
Technique and speed of pass, quality and speed of movement.
Scanning before receiving. Bodyshape when receiving to disguise or set body position.
