Objective -
To warm up and prepare for the technical and mental components of the session.


Description -
Volleys between keepers, GK1 receives volley from all angles. Rotate after 6 rounds.

Technical Activation (20 mins)

Objective -
To engage in handling and footwork movements.


Description -
1 - GK1 will receive thrown balls from GK2 and GK3, before turning in to receive a volley from Coach (4x reps, rotate GK's, swap sides).

2 - GK1 will receive a volley from GK2 and a mid height collapsed throw from GK3. Turn in and receive volley (same as above)

3 - GK1 will receive a scooped ball between their legs from GK2 and a low collapsed pass from GK3, turn in for dipping low volley from Coach (same as above)

Phase 1 (15 mins)

Objective -
To replicate movements found in a match whilst building off positioning in Technical Activation


Description -
GK1 will receive a pass from GK2 and return with one touch. They will then receive a volley from GK3. GK2 will pass the ball to Coach who will strike a first time ball on target, focussing on the near post and middle third.

Phase 2 (15 mins)

Objective -
To include shot stopping from range with a focus on clean handling.


Description -
GK3 will play a pass to GK1, they will then split to the opposite side of their mannequin and receive the bounce from GK1. GK1 will then set to receive a strike from either Coach or GK2. GK3 will look to poach any loose handling.

Set position relative to the middle third.
