4m / 1m, 4 intervals
High intensity / Game like
Same grid entering the 18yd box by 5yds. Target player at midfield side end line for defenders to play into. Ball starts with attacking team and they attempt to cross the 18ys line again. In addition, they are looking to play driven balls into the goalkeeper whenever they think they have an opening to shoot. Distribution from GK goes to target and then back into the attacking team. Defenders play into target asap, attacking team looks to attack efficiently and at pace.
Coaching Points
1. Player angles and spacing allow for quick combinations and move defenders 2. speed of play (move the ball quickly by taking good touches, passing quickly and angling body) 3. Passing technique (using diferent parts of foot and passing styles to move the ball into wide areas faster and more effectively) 4. Visual cues (looking for numbers up scenarios and space in behind defenders. Also recognize when there is space to shoot or attack on the dribble) Additional: 5. Strinking technique for accuracy, bend, or power/distance. 6. possible combination play with 9 as target vs running in behind.

Warm-up (20 mins)
4m on / 1m off
Low intensity, 15/20min, focus on patterns of play, technique and body mechanics
Grid is width of the 18yd box and 30yds in depth from the edge of the box. Defensive team has 1, 2, 3, 4 in respective positions and is passively defending the ball movement of attacking team 6, 8, 9, and 10. Attacking team is working on positioning as they move the ball quickly and try to find passes to #9 that lead them into the 18yd box as centrally as possible. Wide players 7 and 11 can be added here to show there positioning and help them find good angles to the ball. Wide play is often key to finding space centrally so it may be good for the team to see these players in good positions to draw defenders out.
