4 Corners (15 mins)

Set Up:

    • 20x30 grid with 4 corners marked as shown - each corner is about 3x3 yards.
    • two teams 4v4 / 5v5  
    • Make two teams

Session Aims:

Attacking Team:

  • Starts with the ball and tries to keep possession away from the opponents.
  • Tried to make as many passes as possible 
  • Also tries to play a pass to a teammate who runs into one of the 3x3 zones.
  • Gets 4 points for successfully making a pass to a teammate in each of the 4, 3x3 zones on the outside.

Defending Team

  • Tries to win the ball and dribble through any of the 4 gates and then they become the attacking team.

Instructions:

  • Teams score a point by passing the ball to one of their teammates in any of the 4 corners
  • No team can score in the same corner zone twice in a row
  • Defenders cannot go inside the corner zones but can defend outside it.
  • If a team scores they keep the ball and look to pass it back into the main playing area before trying to score again
