Using the Wide Players (15 Mins) -
Coach feeds the ball into the midfielder playing within middle third. The objective is to use a player inside the wide channels. The ball must be played inside a wide zone before a goal can be scored. Only one player from the defending team is allowed into the channel. No restrictions on the number of attackers allowed in the wide channel.
Coaching Points
Players in the wide areas need to stay as wide as possible to create more space and try to receive the ball facing towards goal.
Encourage middle players to distribute the ball out wide as quickly as possible.
Wingers attack the space.
Create 2v1 overloads in the wide channels as only 1 defender is allowed in that channel at a time.
