Activity 2 (20 mins)
Orientation
Ball begins from central player on black #4.
Black aiming to score in big goal, white team looking to score in counter goals if ball is won back.
Work with white team to hold shape, stay compact and restrict passes into #9. By holding shape trying to force black team to place back to #4 or sideways.
Play 4x4 min rounds.

Activity 2.1 (20 mins)

Same activity but work with black team now, looking at different rotations to add layers/depth between lines to pass/receive. Look for #6, #8, #10 to triangulate more than previous round where it was more sideways and flat.
Play 3x6 min rounds.
Key points: Intentional movement off the ball, value of combination plays to unlock defensive block centrally.

Implementation
5v5 scrimmage to end, regular FIFA rules apply except allow for kick-ins in place of throw-ins.
Look for opportunities where moments to play through lines/central rotations are present. Coach over the top of game play with possibly 1 or 2 stoppages to highlight positive example and/or to rewind and recreate a scenario.
Understand that play will break down occasionally and that it is players decision whether to play centrally or not in any given scenario, but important to add this option to team mindset and to be aware of opportunities to play this way.
