Starting Activity-Warmup (15 mins)

ORGANIZATION: 30x20yd Fields. 10 groups of 4 players with one ball. Fields are divided into two halves.

DEVELOPMENT/CHALLENGE: Each group will begin to pass in static as we progress,players will be challenge in:

1) Pass and move your group around the field/ 2) After 3 passes move into a free space/ 3) Find a gap & play the ball between your group.

The objective is to keep the ball rolling inside their own group.

COACHING POINTS: Firm pass & hold of it.

Spatial awareness / Movement constantly

END PRODUCT: Playing with two touches & 1 touch alternating to holding the ball and playing it fast when they have a chance.

Main Activity (25 mins)

ORGANIZATION: 4v1 in each halve, each group will aim to keep the ball for as long as the can with out the player in the middle getting it.

DEVELOPMENT/CHALLENGE: Once every middle player has rotate from each group, now the competitive side is: 1) Each group receive 4 balls & must aim to keep posession of 4 passes with each ball in order to win the round. 2) 5V2 in each halve, the overload will be easy to keep posession but if the 2 players win the ball then they will play it to their side and keep posession, while the other team must send 2 new players to win the ball.

COACHING POINTS: Constant movement to open space, communication and confident passes

END PRODUCT: Good pressure to win the ball in the middle. Communication to have posession.

Main Activity-Game Related (25 mins)

ORGANIZATION: Two halves, 3 players in each and their target players in opposite halve.

DEVELOPMENT/CHALLENGE: The play begins with 3v3 in one halve, the objective is to keep posession with your target players as much as you can. If oppositiion win the ball, they play it to their target player located in other halve and move as a unit to help keep posession while the others recover to pressure and win the ball back. 1) After you pass to a target player, exchange positions 2) 4V4 +1 target

COACHING POINTS: Constant communication & movement to help posess the ball.

Win it and be quick to transition onto keeping posession with a long pass.

END PRODUCT: Quick transitions from defense to attack by pressuring and using communication.

Free Play (30 mins)

ORGANIZATION: 4 fields of 30x20. 5v5 in each field

DEVELOPMENT/CHALLENGE: Each team will rotate depening on their age .

COACHING POINTS: Are they using the posession principles?

END PRODUCT: Players can relate to previous activities to help them in the game.
