Session designed to practice good social distancing, while still working on the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the players and futbol. In this session, we are looking to illistrate and execute an emphasis on defending. Trying tokeep the playin front, cut off passing lines and forward progress of the opponent. To then transition after winning the ball, and go forward.

20x10 area. middle player areas are 4x4 with a 2yrds channel between each- as shown
Objective:
Players to improve on defensive principles- collectively.
Description:
Players out of possesion to deny forward progress to the players in possession, and win the ball back to have a quick transition and look to play forward/in behind.
Coaching Points:
-Step intercept pass, and ready to play for a quick transtision.
-Timing of movement to close space (passing line)
-Head up/Scanning
-Always moving in line with the ball
-First pass forward for a good, quick transition.
-Verbal, visual, physical communication
-Making the space/openings small
-Playing in different lines

As shown. Players are in a 7x7 area (28x28). Goals are on each side 10 yr from the organization.

2v1: Defending
Objective:
For players to work on the principles of the 2v1 defending, keeping the play (ball) in front, and not allowing the opponent forward progress (closing off openings-passing lines). Defensive principles- individual.
Organization:
As shown- attacking players in a 10x10 space, defender is in a 2x10 space.
Description:
The 2 players aretrying to pass through the spaces passed the defending player in the middle. When the defensive player in the middle wins it, they play to the player in front, they play it across, and become the new defender. The defensive player with the least number of passes played passed them, wins the round.
Progression - One ball can go around the 4 boxes. How many passes can you get before losing it in a row? Change roles.
