GK rolls ball to either Centre back who advances with the ball as he gets near the poled line the striker will close him down showing him outside .

2. Wide player will stay narrow not letting ball into midfielder. As shown in shaded area above. As ball is transfered to the Right Back the wide player will close down and over exaggerate the play down the line not letting him come back inside

1. Number 10 drops onto deepest midfielder not allowing the switch of play.

2.Left midfielder will move across to threaten pass into nidfielder.

3. Right sided midfielder drops onto top of the diamond player.

4. Right of 3 drops into positon effecting the left of red diamond shape .

Weakness.

Any switched ball will cause problems as we have all shuffled over as a team to condense the area and keep them down one side.

Team Shape.

As shown above the shape is an L shape as shown on the red line above.

This principle is the same for both sides of the pitch.

1 Importance is on the opposite midfielder dropping deep so he can try to stop the ball into the front men.

2. Widest of 3 will drop into effect right side of the diamond. Also be a threat as an outlet for the counter attack.

3 Nearest of midfield. will both try to effect pass into nearest side of diamond and also cut off ball into strikers.

Cause whites more problems.

Encourage reds to try and switch play making sure every player understands thier job.

If pass into channel for centre forward to run on to, then deepest midfeilder(1) will drop into middle of defence to deal with any cross into the box.

If whites spend too long on the ball I will limit their play to trying to score within 20 seconds.
