1v1 Defending Approach at an Angle (20 mins)
Set Up:
Action:
- The first two players of each red team R2 & R5 start by dribbling the ball away from goal and towards the blue gates.
- At the same time Y2 & Y5 cross over behind the goals and defend the opposite area and goal.
- R1 & R2 must enter the field by dribbling through the blue gates and start to attack in the goal in which they entered the field.
- If the red attacker doesn't score the yellow defender can go and assist his teammate to create a 2v1 defending situation.
- Encourage Y to win the ball and score between blue gates at end.
- Game is then over when goals are scored or ball goes out of play.
