SET UP:Same setup as before, however introduce a new gate at each side. This signifies the point at which the players can release a shot off. It also is a marking point at which player 3 can use to judge the weight of their first touch.
Key Points: Players must use the full distance to make a floor pass. Players must still follow their pass.
CONSIDERATIONS: Make sure the passing is correct for this type of drill. Also introduce dropping a shoulder to get players used to the movement off the ball.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Make shot zone larger depending on ability. Make target zones smaller. Introduce heavy passes to simulate real life.

SET UP:Defender introduced behind zone 2.
Key Points:Defender only becomes active when player at zone two touches the ball. Defender can go anywhere and intercept.
CONSIDERATIONS:Players have to be able to use deception and communication to fool the defender and get past him. Make players aware again the importance of reciving the ball on the correct foot.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: The use of two defenders depending on success rate.

The basics
SET UP: Start within a main goal. Move to the correct target areas in number sequence. The use of flat cones will make the drill more tidy and realistic. Two small target goals either side of main goal.
Key Points:Note, there is a left and right side, alternate sides. Player must move onto each number throughut drill i.e player one dribbles with the ball and plays a little pass into player 2. Player two takes the ball with a decent first touch in the direction of number 3. Number 3 then takes the ball with an accurate first touch in the direction of number 4, and scores. The cycle repeats. Players must follow their pass.
CONSIDERATIONS: Start with a walk through for players to earn an understanding of drill. Let players gain an undrstanding on the importance of taking their first touch on the correct foot.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS: Speed up the dribbling.
