Technical Skills- Dribbling in tight spaces: 10 minutes
-This week, we are focusing on taking small touches on the ball and working in tight spaces using inside part of the foot to keep ball close to feet and using the sole when we have to stop the ball.
- Dribble zig-zag using both feet around the cones to the end of the line and return doing the same.
- Students will practice for 30 seconds each round and come back to screen. After we discuss techniques and talk about what we need to improve, we will try the exercise again.
Progression:
- Use the inside and outside of one foot only.
- Switch and try with other foot as well.
- Observe scholars and modify the activity to increase the challenge level as needed.
Coaching Points:
- What kind of touches on the ball are we working on in this activities? When would you practice taking small touches when you are playing a real soccer game? Why?
- Spacial awareness.
- Little touches to keep ball close to feet.
- Use inside or outside of foot to change direction and go through cones.
- Knees bent for better balance.

Fun Challenge: 10 minutes
- Use the same cone set up but add two more at the end to act as a goal or target.
- First to 5 goals wins! Time each round so you can set a record and then try to beat it.
- Dribble zig-zag through cones and pass the ball into the target.
- Once you score, run back to the start and go again.
- Once you have 5 goals, come to the screen, so I will know you are done.
Coaching Points:
- What can you do in the next round to help you beat your own time record?
- Take smaller touches to keep the ball closer to your feet.
- Use the sole of your foot to stop the ball if it is getting away from you.

Introduction
Organization: 5 Minutes
- Greet everyone and talk about rules and expectations of our class.
- I understand that many students have limitations in terms of space and equipment, therefore this practice (and most of our practices) will only require a minimum amount of equipment and space.
- All Scholars will:
Set their devices to mute/ silent mode,
Be close to the screen so I can tell they are paying attention,
Try their best to perform all movements and activities
and most importantly, enjoy themselves and have fun.
- Scholars and their families will set up their work space to the best of their ability: Look for a space at home where you will have enough space to move around and be away from distractions.
- For this session, scholars will need 6 shoes (or similar objects to set up as cones,) a ball and water.
- If scholars want to answer questions or add on to our conversations, they will add a questions mark or exclamation mark in the chat box. Once I call on them they may unmute themselves.
- Remind scholars that if they need extra breaks during our physical activities, or bathroom breaks, they don’t need to ask for permission, they can just go and come back as soon as they are ready.
- Lastly, also talk about the dojo points students are earning during their soccer practice for their attendance, hard work and participation.
