Organization:
*30 by 20 yard area
*10 by 10 smaller area
*10 players(pairs of 2)
*1 ball per group
Instructions:
1. Players start in smaller area waiting for coach's command.
2. On coach's command, players race into bigger grid and attempt to pass ball to partner through as many gates as possible.
3. Players gain points by passing through gate to partner.
4. On coach's call for time, they must race back to smaller area.
5. Play for a set time period and rotate players.
6. Players must keep track of all of their points.
Coaching Points:
*appropriate surface
*head up before pass
*head down as you strike
*follow through to target
*non kicking foot next to pass
*contact ball: middle
Visual Cues:
*distance to target
*awareness of open gates

Organization:
2 Small sided field, the width of the 18 and as wide as you have available (18x40), 3v3
(field size can change depending on space available/number of players and their ages)
Instructions:
Players have try to throw or roll the ball in the opposing pug goal.
3 steps and/or 3 seconds to get rid of the ball.
No use of feet.
Pass ins everytime the ball goes out of bounds (like basketball)

Coaching Points:
Have Fun,
Let them get a sweat going.
Assess and Identify who is athletic and who is has good technique and who might struggle during the session.
Do not make any stoppages, coach big errors on the fly. Keep any coaching points short and sweet.
Progressions:
1. Score with headers/volleys
2. One player uses feet
3. Must control with any part of body before cathcing

Organization:
Approx 20yds x 16yds, 6 cones needed for sidelines
use of Pugg/Pop-Up goals
Instructions:
- Split your group into 3 teams (it's okay if uneven numbers)
- Play 2 minute rounds, team with the most goals at end of 2 minutes stays on.
- If no winner at the end of 2 minutes, ties solved by:
- first team in size order
- first team in alphabetical order, first name
- first team in the shape of a house (be creative)
- make up your own, make it incorporate teamwork and problem solving
Coaching Points:
- Let them figure it out.
- Great chance to address principles of play (width, depth, mobility)
- Lots of individual reference regarding technique
- Lots of running commentary to guide players to solutions through your questions. Help them figure it out but don't give them the answers.
- Allow them to express their interpretation of a solution
Progressions:
P = not needed entirely. the game competition should bring out enough challenge
R = if players struggle with even opposition, add the third team as neutral players along the outside. make it doesn't ruin the flow of the game, perhaps limiting touches.

Organization:
40 x 40 yard area setup as show n
2. 12 Players setup as show n
3. 2 Balls (Additionalballs around the outside)
Instructions:
Players move around the area performing movements related to soccer (forwards,backwards,sidesteps)
2. Players are numbered 1 through 6. Player 1 starts with the ball and passes ball to player 2 who calls for the ball
3. After passing the ball,player 1 turns and sprints to the edge of the area
4. After receiving the ballPlayer 2 m ustlook for player 3 to pass to. Player 2 then completes steps 3 and 4
5.. Player 6 passes to player 1 so that play continues
