Set Up
Area approx 30x 30.
With at least 5 gates in area
Players split into 4 teams (min four players(better less teams but at least 4 players)).
Each team have one ball.
Detail
Each team start by passing and moving within the area.
Teams score points by passing ball to another team mate through the gate.
Players are allowed to pass, dribble or combine to cover area but must pass to score.
Encourage different techniques and distances to score.
Players encouraged to receive ball in space and move ball away from conjested areas.
Progressions
Change size of area, number of gates
Close gates after it has been scored through
Introduce players to block gates (with ball)
Add defenders (overloads ie 4v1, 4v2 etc dependant on ability) If defender wins ball can they score a goal.
Coaching points
Players should look for space to receive the ball - in relation to other players in practice.
Encourage players to use both feet.
Encourage players to consider their body position when receiving the ball

Players split into two teams with 2 target men ( can have goal keepers outside square if available)
1 ball
Detail
Teams score by passing the ball to a target man in a target area.
Target men are free to move to an empty target area.
Players are not allowed in a target area if a target man is in their.
Teams can use goalkeepers to keep possession (goalkeepers can use their hands)
If ball goes out of area GK restarts to other team.
Progressions
Change size of internal target areas
Change amount of target areas
Changeamount of target men
Teams in possesion can score by dribbling into an empty target box
So many passes = a goal eg. 10 passes is a goal
One touch only to target man
Coaching Points
Early assessment of opportunities to dribble, run or pass.
Look for space, time and target players
Recognise the movement of target players.
Reinforcement of need for inventive and quick play.
Remind players of need tochange pace and direction.

Approx 25 diameter
Square in middle
Players split into two groups (One group spread around outside/ One group in middle of circle)
Detail
On coaches call the inside players run to an outside player.
Receive a pass and return the ball to the server.
Then quickly move through the middle square to another player and repeat the process.
Switch players every 1 minute.
Progressions
Receive the ball and return one touch.
Receive the ball with left foot and return with the right and vice versa.
Receive with one service of the foot and return with the other.
Receive ball dribble through circle and pass to a player without the ball.
Play out go out.

Quality of pass (i.e Timing/ Weight/ Accuracy)
Communication - Show where you want the ball/ sound
Body Shape - Can you see as much of thepitch as possible?
